A Lexus GS is being used to demonstrate Toyota’s next-generation autonomous driving program called Highway Teammate currently under trials in Japan.
As the name would suggest, this is a system designed for highway driving, using multiple sensors to fully automate merging onto or exiting highways, maintaining or changing lanes, and managing the distance between vehicles.
