Best Selling Luxury Vehicles of 2025 So Far

The luxury vehicle segment in America is showing strong signs of continued growth and it’s no surprise that the top ten best selling luxury models are all crossovers and SUVs. Lexus vehicles make up three of the top ten best selling models so far this year: the Lexus RX, NX, and TX are some of the most sought after models in their segments and the Lexus RX remains the #1 best selling luxury vehicle overall.

Lexus RX: The Unrivaled Leader in Luxury SUVs

Taking the top spot as the best-selling luxury vehicle in America so far in 2025 is the unbeatable Lexus RX. With 52,888 units sold this year through September, the RX remains the cornerstone of the Lexus lineup and a favorite among buyers seeking a blend of reliability, style, quality, and luxury.

The RX continues to shine due to its spacious and luxurious interior, smooth ride quality, advanced safety and technology features, and diverse powertrain options. The RX’s strong sales highlight how important it is for SUV buyers to have a vehicle that not only offers prestige but also excels in comfort and practicality for everyday driving.

Lexus NX Holds Strong at #2

Not far behind the RX is the Lexus NX, securing the #2 spot with sales of 38,253 units. The NX is celebrated for its sharp design, infotainment and technology, and perhaps most importantly, a range of powertrains including gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models.

Lexus TX: A New Champion Emerging at #8

Perhaps most surprising is seeing the Lexus TX on this list at #8. On sale for just two years, the TX has already outpaced its two primary rivals – the Infiniti QX 60 and Acura MDX – in sales volume and is hot on the heels of the Buick Envision. The TX has become a buyer favorite due to it’s large and spacious three row interior, the latest infotainment and technology, and a buyer-friendly variety of powertrain options ranging from the entry level, turbocharged TX 350 to the flagship TX 550h+ PHEV.

These sales numbers are as of September 2025, so with three full sales months left in the year, it will be a tight race across various models in this list. The fourth place Mercedes-Benz GLE, fifth place Mercedes-Benz GLC, sixth place BMW X3, and seventh place Buick Envision are all separated by less than 700 units meaning that final standing at year’s end could be a photo finish. End of year incentives and promotions are sure to heat up as automakers race to the finish line for 2025, and we will report back with more sales data as soon as it’s available.

The translation from LF-ZC to ES makes me worried for how the LF-ZL could come to market. Yeah I want something RWD or RWD biased, but I also want it to be decent looking 😖
The ES just borrowed the design language from the LF-ZC. The LF-ZC is a different car and a more production ready version will be displayed at the Japan Mobility Show at the end of the month. It's RWD as well.
