Lexus USA has reported 29,050 total sales for November 2016, a 14.1% improvement over last year — here’s the model-by-model breakdown:
|MONTH||Year to Date (*DSR)|
|2016||2015||% CHG*||2016||2015||% CHG*|
Please note, all percentages are calculated by the Daily Sales Rate (DSR), which takes into account the number of days in the month that dealerships could sell cars. November 2016 had 25 selling days, November 2015 had 23 selling days.
The shift to SUVs continues unabated, with the NX & RX making up the lion’s share of all Lexus sales in the USA. The one bright spot in the sedan lineup is the updated 2017 IS, which has managed to post a 7.3% increase in its first month of sales.
From the Lexus USA press release:
“Our luxury utility vehicles continues to lead the way, with best-ever November sales for NX and best-ever November sales for the full LUV line up,” said Jeff Bracken, Lexus division group vice president and general manager. “December is always one of our strongest months of the year, and we are poised for a December to Remember as we enter the month with the best light truck availability of the whole year.”
