A new report today out of Japan regarding the next-generation Lexus LS — news scoop website Spider7 is reporting that a high-performance LS F will arrive in 2018 with a twin-turbo V8 pushing out 611 horsepower.
This would line up with existing engine rumors for the LC F high-performance coupe, and would provide a staggering 1-2 punch for the brand at the top-end of the market.
Spider7 also suggests that the next-generation LS will get a newly developed 3.0L, though it doesn’t specify a four-cylinder or V6 engine. This rumor has some legs, as it fits with recent trademarks of NX 300 & GS 300 nameplates — this would suggest that Lexus plans to introduce a new mid-range engine with three liters of displacement.
