Please note, all percentages are calculated by the Daily Sales Rate (DSR), which takes into account the number of days in the month that dealerships could sell cars. October 2015 had 28 selling days, October 2014 had 27 selling days.

With 26,436 total sales, this was the best October for Lexus in the history of the brand — a surprising feat considering only the GX showed a positive gain compared to the year previous.

Once again, it’s the NX that makes the biggest impact to the sales increase with 3,399 units sold in October. There’s a real lull in new vehicles — the updated LX has started arriving at dealerships, but it’s not a volume vehicle. The big change will happen in November when the new RX finally goes on sale.

Here’s how Lexus compared with the other luxury manufacturers:

Hopefully we'll see a surge in IS and GS sales with the 200t and the 300 added to the lineup.

The NX is selling all they can get from Japan. The new RX hit dealers today, and will be huge smash hit. I can see 130k sales in 2016 easy! The ES and GS facelifts should help. The all-new Lexus LS500 looms for late 2016..... Lexus won't be #1 this year, but 2016 is shaping up to be The Year of Lexus! BD

The interesting thing here is that Audi is nowhere close to Lexus in terms of sales. Whether or not that is a bad thing for Lexus consumers and fanatics is one thing. My concern is: Why do some people seem to think that Audi is so successful?
