It is always nice to be on the west coast! Everything happens earlier - sometimes when one is still in bed, and the internet provides so much with time. Back in the days, missing a live reveal meant scavenging for press photos. Having a live reveal with a working feed was another story.

I believe with the exception of Australia, this is a good time for the live unveil since this is not during sleeping hours for the majority of the world. Clock's ticking!

I am amazed that no more new photos leaking out even on the day of unveiling, right before the announcement. Lexus has kept the secret and suspense really well. Countdown less than 30 mins...

Great exterior and interior. the floating roof turns out to better than I thought, And Lexus deliberately leaves some good stuff (panoramic roof, 360 degree view monitors etc) to RX instead of NX in U.S. market. Interested to see the pricing soon.

Yup, totally agreed. The new one does have a great visual impact. Good execution at unveiling from the Lexus side

Go here for the full photo gallery and press release: http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/2015+nyias+lexus+2016+rx+global+debut.htm Honestly, I like it but don't love it. The exterior is solid, much sportier than the current vehicle. Makes the current RX looked bloated and gay. Wild new wheels on the hybrid! They want you to notice the floating roof with the chrome surround. Going for a lower, wider look. The F-Sport tries too hard with the lower diffuser lip in front. Take that off. The interior looks huge, and Autoblog says they will offer 3rd row seating in the 2017 RX. The rear doesn't seem made for more passengers, but if you can move the 2nd seat up, maybe. This tells me the TX is more like 3 years away, and they need something to hold you over in 3rd row crossovers. Wonder here pricing starts. I figure close to $45k. It already sells 100k+ a year, so how much growth is there in this model? We'll see next year. If this hits dealers in November, it might push lexus over the top to #1 in U.S. Luxury sales. BD

I'm wondering if Jeff Bracken made a mistake describing the new safety system+, when he said the dynamic radar cruise control could bring the car to a complete stop.. Reading the recent description and details posted there is no mention of completely stopping the vehicle. Any thoughts on this comment by Bracken? Louis
