Please note, all percentages are calculated by the Daily Sales Rate (DSR), which takes into account the number of days in the month that dealerships could sell cars. February 2014 & February 2013 both had 24 selling days.
This is the most successful February for Lexus USA in six years, and it’s due in no small part to two models — the new IS has seen four straight months of triple digit increases, and the GX has doubled in sales since its refresh five months ago. The GS has also had a successful start to 2014, with two months of double-digit gains.
The RX & LS were the only two models to show sales decreases in February, but Lexus USA Jeff Bracken was quick to diffuse the RX drop during the monthly sales conference call, blaming the fall on the unseasonably cold weather that hit the East Coast for much of the month.
Canada
Lexus Canada has reported its best-ever February with 980 sales, an increase of 20% over 2013. Much like the USA, the IS (up 372.5%) & GX (up 95.2%) are leading the way.
