Lexus IS Design Contest Winner Announced

Lexus USA has announced the winner of their Lexus IS SEMA design contest — first place goes to Rob Evans with this rendering:

Lexus IS Contest Winner

This entry has an aggressive design with a bold stance showing IS attitude that stands out. It is almost animated but with just enough realism. It screams SEMA and is an instant eye catcher that will fit right in.

Second place went to Lucia Lee:

Menacing and sleek, this design has amazing aesthetic consistency and a great presence that introduces unique components front to back. It is both conceptual and consistent with the evolution of the IS line.

Guanghao Huang came in third:

Lexus IS Contest Third Place

Fully embracing the Lexus spindle grill, the front facia has just the right amount of attitude. The subtle use of color accentuates the lines without overpowering them.

First place winner Rob Evans will now get to see his rendering turned into real life by VIP Auto Salon, then displayed at the Lexus SEMA booth in Las Vegas this November.

2nd and 3rd place were my 1st and 2nd choices . I really don't like the 1st place winner. It looks too anime for my liking. Oh well. Congrats to the winner.

1st place winner not my cup of team. Of the three, the 2nd place one gets my vote.

Are those gold wheels wheels or speakers? And the L badge in 2nd pic is backward.
