The link you provide doesn't take you to Consumer Reports full test report. To see it enter 2012 Lexus es in their search box. They have concluded that the es is a victim of cost-cutting on interior materials, doesn't really handle much better and no longer has a plush ride. They downgrade it also for the mouse controller. Their overall rating has gone down from 91 to 80 for the es and 82 for the esh. The es is now several notches below the best in the class.
