2012 marked the fifth year that Gazoo Racing has raced the Lexus LFA in the Nürburgring 24 hour race, and to mark the occasion, a video tribute has been released:
Hard to believe it’s been five years since the pre-production prototype raced in 2008 — from the SP8 class wins in 2010 & 2012, the special edition named after the track, the tragic accident involving Lexus test driver Hiromu Naruse in 2010, and the record-setting lap in 2011, the LFA will be forever linked to the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
(Without question, the Nürburgring 24 hour race is part of the LFA’s soul — I’m already looking forward to the 2013 race.)
