Lexus LFA on Vossen CV3 Wheels

Mike over at Vossen sent me this photo of Lexus USA’s prototype yellow LFA sitting on some 20″ Concave Vossen CV3 wheels:

Seeing an LFA with anything other than the stock wheels is a rare occurrence — I can only think of two other occasions — that it’s always a shock to the system to see something different.

While I’m a huge fan of the standard wheel (especially in gunmetal), I can definitely appreciate the five spoke design — what do you think?

Those wheels are garbage. Makes the LFA look cheap.

Totally agree. Actually those rims looks simply gorgeous and i'd like to put them on my IS but makes the LFA just like an average tuning car.

Totally agree.....lacks the class factor that the original wheels give with the overall styling of the LFA.......don't mess with it !

The looks are debatable. What is truly amazing is the stance (especially from a third quarter angle). The wheels sit flush with the fenders and the convex deep dish wheels, they look amazingly aggressive from three quarter angles. Honestly, I hate the huge wheel gaps with the stock LFA and how the wheels are tucked inside the body.

That was engineered purposely for fitment and drivability during hard cornering.

Makes the LFA look cheap....no offense, but seeing as how the quality on my wheels are garbage and the clear is yellowing/peeling on them I don't know why anyone would put them on a 350k car.  But no one at Vossen owns up to that anyways, they won't even replace your center caps let alone stand by their 5 year warranty

First of all your a douche bag for even commenting negatively about one of top wheel brands in the industry. As a current Vossen owner I have no such issues with there quality workmanship.  For a company that you claim is a POS then why were they one of the top booths at the Tokyo Auto Salon and the Pursuit a few months ago... Its always the Infiniti owners bashing Lexus...

    I'm sure it's a good brand. But I agree with g37.

They replaced my last center caps for free, and i've had Vossens for over 2 years no and have no problems with clear yellowing or peeling. That must be from using degreaser on your wheels..

Never a fan of vossen, besides their wheels are extremely heavy. It completely defeat the purpose of a super car.....

Actually, there was a white & raw carbon fiber/modified LFA at the  Tokyo Auto Salon from TWS Forged in their booth. This one featured a set of(obviously)TWS Forged wheels,an aggressive rear diffuser which consists of some aggressive splats in the rear as well as an aggressive rear spoiler, both made from hand laid dry carbon.Moving up front to the hood, the press was nieve enough to think that TWS Forged made a new OEM style CF hood from scratch, but I think that most obviously, they probably stripped the paint from the OEM hood to create it's raw appearance.Speaking of TWS forged, they also have for sale on their web site an identical set of 20 spoke wheels as those sold from TRD for the IS-F.(magnesium ones)I'll bet TRD sourced their wheels from TWS forged.(although you'd be hard pressed to get them to divulge this imformation) iCode japan owns a yellow LFA with Saddle Tan interior.(not sure which production #)They are currently working on some performance parts for the LFA,but this is still in the works for now. I'd also like to see NEEZ wheels make a set of wheels for the LFA. I also love both sets of LFA wheels(reg. version & NR version)No comment on the Vossen wheels though.

I think they look great!  Clean, not too busy, and the concave architecture really sets them apart. Big thumb up from me!

I'm more of an American muscle guy, but I have to admit this does look great! You can't go wrong with a 5 spoke design and the VOSSEN concave wheels are amazing. I personally have their CV1s on my Challenger, but now that they're bringing out the CV3s in 22", I'm swapping to those!
J
CV3s were made for this car lol. They fit them perfectly. Props to the owner.

first of all the fitment looks excellent.. second im not sure who you have dealt with at Vossen because as a Vossen owner myself, i have had nothing but a great experience dealing with any issues i have had in the process of receiving my wheels seeing that i live in CA and they are based out of Florida. I think the LFA looks great with CV3s
