Lexus IS F Crushed for Illegal Street Racing

I wish I didn’t have to share this video of California Police crushing a nearly brand-new Lexus IS F for illegal street racing, but sometimes the only way to deal with tragedy is to share it with others:

Now we can all be depressed together — Happy Monday!

This government is so damn broke selling this would actually help local law enforcement, fire, & whatever else in the community. Quick easy several thousands for local or state coffers. Anybody here have any legal background I'm sure selling it as is, at an auction is a way smarter deal than paying thousands to the crushing company. #Smh regulations sucks! free up the system!.

Or they could have use it in the force. Imagine how the owner felt... If it was me I would end up doing time as well cause someone might die.

I won't even watch that video Executed for being a Lexus.  What is the world coming to....... BD

I won't watch the video either...NEVER!!! I just cant.If it was another vehicle from another manufaturer, then I might be able to stomach the video, but not a vehicle like the IS-F that has so much precision & dedication injected into it.Very sad...I understand that the owner needs to be punished severly, but why punish the fine team of engineers & builders of the car & the whole Lexus/Toyota team who devoted so much time & effort & dedication & enthusiasm all for nothing???

KREW,with the deepest respect, could you remove the video please & replace it with somthing else?It just makes me too sad.
S
That is a truly a sad video. It hurts to watch, I couldn't even watch it twice. And why would they take the wheels off? They'd make a lot more money with the car as a whole than just the wheels lol

I remember on Yahoo! they had a news article a few years ago about how in CA they crush your car and make the suspect watch it. This must be it then. I agree, I think they could've made some money with the car. I think they should find a way to punish the driver and not let him get into another set of wheels for a very very long time.

As others have already stated, the car should have been sold at auction. If it's a question of where the proceeds of that auction go to, why don't they just donate the money to a random charity? Also, I bet the engine would still run after that. Might need a new intake plenum, but that's probably about it.

Goes to show you how stupid California law enforcement is. They could have resold the car, now they are in the hole for even more money. Morons, morons, MORONS! People should start suing California, for doing stupid stuff like this, with their tax dollars.
