Imagining a Next-Generation Lexus GS F

Straight from the comment thread of Theophilus Chin’s next-generation Lexus GS photochops, TLE reader sndesign shared his own mockup based on the LF-Gh concept:

Considering the LF-Gh grille shares its mesh pattern with the IS F, I’ve always considered the concept a blend of both the “standard” production model and a potential GS F — I think that sndesign has given us a peek at what a potential high-performance edition might look like.

I think if the regular GS looks this good and the GS-F has the more agressive grill then this will be a huge hit. I am hoping that this rendering comes true to production soon.

This looks just like the IS-F. I'm sure Lexus will somehow make it stand apart from the IS but still look really bold.

Beautiful car! The only disappointment i have with the 2nd gen IS and GS is how they never carried over the signature taillight set-up. The separated lights on the trunk. They followed through with the 1st to 2nd gen headlight set-up on the GS which i feel they need to continue with the 3rd gen GS. Thoughts?

It really looks like Lexus is going to break away from the design cues set with the 2GS/3GS -- namely the front & rear quad lights. It's a new chapter for the model.

I absolutely love it! Well done indeed! :-D

Agreed, this is the best rendering yet. There's hope yet! :-)

I'm going to say something positive this time: The LED bulbs look more like those in the LSh than those in the RXh, which is better on many levels.

This is pretty much what I'm hoping for as far as the grille goes, although, I'd have to admit, the Infiniti M is still better-looking But what I REALLY want to know is engines and curb weights! BD

I recall rumors that Lexus focused heavily on reducing weight: http://lexusenthusiast.com/2009/12/10/2011-lexus-gs-rumors/

This looks very bold and beautiful! At least it hasn't copied any design cues from anyone one and is completely original.. **Something rare these days**

Lexus always let competitors go first..then BAM!!! they come with something that competitors cant go against..Example Infiniti is advertising how they are flying pass competition http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzWyd10icS4

With more than one camouflaged car out there, I don't imagine we'll have to wait much longer to see the real thing. We're getting to the end of the tunnel, I'm sure. :-)
