While the full story on my experience at the Lexus LFA Driver Development program is still a couple weeks away, Lexus Magazine has published some of my photos from the event — here’s a sample:

It didn’t take long for me to start missing the LFA — I can definitely say with some certainty that Gran Turismo 5 is a poor substitute for the real thing.

Whenever I hear someone say that the LFA is overpriced, I use to go into a big long spiel about development and exclusivity, so on and so forth. But now I just say four words "Carbon Fibre Steering Wheel" I recently had a chance to sit in one of the pre production models and wrapped my fingers around the steering wheel of the LFA. Truly remarkable. The steering wheel is just unbelievable. It felt like I was gripping a .50 caliber machine gun, or better yet, Excaliber! I say Excaliber because I would probably have a better chance pulling the sword from out of a rock, than I would getting the keys of an LFA from the hand of an owner.

I don't think any game is gonna compare to the real thing, now a simulator with hydraulics to emulate the g-forces you feel would be closest to the real thing.

Nice photos. Those would make great wallpapers if they were higher resolution! :) Can't wait to read the full story. I agree with LostinBlack... I don't think any video game is gonna match the real thing!
