Video: The 2016 Lexus GS Launches in Japan

Lexus Japan has released a new video for the updated 2016 GS and GS F SPORT, and it’s just the right amount of weird:

(It’s a bit of a stretch, but this video did remind me somewhat of one of Lexus’ all-time best commercials — the classic GS Something Wicked This Way Comes marketing campaign.)

I have been on the fence about the refreshed GS - that front end is just a lot to take in with bars, creases and jagged edges, in my eyes.With that said, in darker colors that both mute out some of the sharpness and blend with the darker tail lights, this new GS is very sharp. I think the 450h in this video with the tri-LED headlights and those wheels is beautiful.Very nice!The white F Sport model is a little "in your face" for me, but I can see the appeal.

I must admit I had my doubts about the new GS. But so quietly I must revise my opinion. A black GS F ... or perhaps just first seeing the new RX this weekend...

A nice video for dramatics, but I'm not sure how many cars it is actually going to sell.
