Lexus Europe Offers Two-Tone CT 200h Special Edition

Lexus Europe is offering the CT 200h in a distinctive two-tone special edition — here are some photos:

The Ultra White exterior has black accents on the roof, the spindle grille surround, and along the bottom of the doors. The 17-inch alloy wheels also have a darkened, glossy finish.

(I like the look overall, though I’m not quite sure about the black on the doors. But why the standard CT and not the CT F SPORT?)

Overall, I prefer just a blacked out roof like the latest F Sport.

I don't get the Lexus with the CT, the engine is week and the price is so high. Where I live, a top of the range Golf GTI is cheaper than a CT. Obviously it will run rings around it. If only the CT gets the 200T engine on the NX

I drive a CT and in every day life, it's drive train is more than capable enough. CT is premium because of how refined, quiet and environmentally friendly its drivetrain is and not because of its performance advantage over the rivals. Also, germans tend to overpower their cars way too much. (Well a GTI is an exception in that regard because it's intended to be a sporty model. It's also why it's a pretty bad comparison) CT is also Lexus' second best selling hybrid globally. After RX.

Please put aside the saving fuel subject, the new GTI is refined and its one of the best in daily driving AND have that extra power and cornering ability for whenever you want a have a little bit of fun, something the CT doesn't have even in "F" trim. GTI is the best all around hot hatch in the world, its reliable record is not bad, very practical, good looking AND cheaper than the CT, astonishing really... In fact, the base model GOLF R has the same price tag as fully loaded CT...which again is...astonishing.

I agree with you as a gti owner, there's nothing really special about the ct to be priced like that.
