Custom Seafoam Green Lexus RC F to Debut at SEMA

After a week of voting, Lexus USA Instagram followers have chosen how the SEMA-bound RC F project car will be customized:

Lexus RC F Instabuild

Each part of the build was voted on — here are the winning choices:

  • Seafoam Green Exterior
  • 20-inch Forged Vossen CVT wheels
  • Nitto Invo tires
  • Black Brembo brake calipers
  • Lexon Exclusive gun metal gray exterior body kit
  • Sabelt SPS seats
  • Steering wheel with alcantara grips, carbon fiber and Seafoam Green accents

The finished car will be built by VIP Auto Salon, and will debut at SEMA in Las Vegas on November 4th — I’ll be on hand with live updates from the show floor, where this Insta-built RC F is sure to be quite the sight.

I'm sorry but the color does not work for me. I also would not use vossen wheels. Its a high end project car. It deserves high end wheels. I like vossens though.

Wouldn't put my car in that colour, but it's nice to look at.

Quite the sight is an understatement . . . I mean, I see the color and it reminds me of a neon sign. This is just for fun . . . right?

Why not matte black, why not matte white, why not matte silver ... why this color ... I don't get it. Lexus has lost the plot. The rims in the 4th picture are much nicer too. Lexus, the brand that enthusiasts hate loving.

Because it was decided by asking people on instagram what they wanted and that colour won

This is correct, @Lexususa (instagram) has been holding this #instabuilt for a week and its been an honor to be included. :) Just wait until SEMA and I hope to see some of you there as I'll be in the booth all week. Mike

My votes came through for the wheels, steering, and brakes, not the rest though. However, as a project car, it represents its purpose. Anyone remember the "Tron"-looking white IS last year?

Also would not choose nitto tires. I hated them when I tried them. You can cheap out on body kits and cosmetic stuff as long as its done well. But wheels, tires and brakes....you go correct.

Thanks Krew, everyone is hard at work making this build happen with a few surprises. Krew actually dropped an exclusive that maybe someone will catch :) The Lexus Enthusiast will get all exclusives and behind the scenes access on our side of things, see you in 3 weeks!
