For the first time since the Japanese tsunami in March, Lexus USA has reported a year-over-year sales increase for November — here’s the per model breakdown:
|MONTH||Year to Date (*DSR)|
|2011||2010||% CHG*||2011||2010||% CHG*|
This good news comes with help from the annual December to Remember sales event, which started in the USA a month early, as well as increased inventory of the CT & RX models.
Even with this success, Lexus remains below the market leaders — for November, Mercedes led the pack with 28,255 sales, followed by BMW with 26,271 sales.
Lexus sales were up 9.8% compared to November 2010, thanks to strong sales of the CT 200h and the RX.
Lexus Japan saw sales climb 95.8% in November, with 3,795 units sold. This gives Lexus Japan 40,123 sales this year, for a 26.4% increase compared to 2010.
