Lexus CT F SPORT Owner Blog: Unscheduled Maintenance

Lexus CT 200h Trunk

It might seem like a crazy thing to wish for, but something finally went wrong with my Lexus CT after nearly two years of ownership. For reasons I could not figure out, the hatchback trunk would not close.

After a weekend spent with a bungied-up trunk, I called my local dealership Performance Lexus on Monday and was told to bring the CT in right away.

Lexus CT F SPORT Owners Blog: Podcast Talk

Lexus Podcasts

Beyond turning the wheel and pushing the pedals, the thing I do most in the car is listen to podcasts. In many ways, it feels like the best way to use the time — simply put, it’s either podcasts or silence when I’m driving alone.

With that in mind, I would like to share five podcasts I listen to on a regular basis.

If there’s one podcast to start with, it’s Serial, a true-life crime show from the creators of This American Life and hosted by Sarah Koenig.

The first season is completely self-contained, and deals with a convoluted murder in 1999 and a potentially innocent man in jail. It’s gripping stuff, and works well as an introduction to the medium.

Lexus CT F SPORT Owner Blog: An Interview with My Five Year Old Daughter

Lexus CT Blog: Interview with Pepper

For the latest installment of my Lexus CT owner’s blog, I interview my daughter Pepper about our car — this is probably one of the funnest things I’ve ever done:

This CT 200h F SPORT was made possible by the folks at OpenRoad Lexus Richmond, the premier Lexus dealership in British Columbia and a proud sponsor of Lexus Enthusiast.

Lexus CT F SPORT Owners Blog: The Parking Rules

Lexus CT 200h Blog: Parking

It’s time for me to come clean — I have a phobia. Not only that, I’m willing to bet most of you reading this suffer from the very same irrational fear:

Lexus CT F SPORT Owner Blog: Feels Like Home

Lexus CT 200h Blog

It’s been a busy couple months, highlighted by two weeks driving the Lexus RC F (review coming!), time with the both GS F and IS 300h, and a significant amount of travel.

It’s a funny thing, but no matter what I end up driving, it’s always a relief getting back behind the wheel of my CT 200h F SPORT. Much like the difference between a hotel room and your own home, it’s fun to try something new, but there’s nothing quite like something familiar. Everything has its own place, and you don’t always have to be on your best behavior.

It was a practical purchase in the start, but I’ve grown quite attached to this little hybrid hatchback and its “just enough” personality. There’s just enough power, just enough room, just enough technology, just enough style. The CT has become a faithful companion, hard to believe it’s almost the half-way point through my three years with the car.
