Some may think of Lexus as the most premium brand in Toyota Motor Company’s portfolio, but there’s a Toyota product that has always been the true flagship of the entire brand, even above Lexus: Century. Long developed as a super luxury sedan for the Japanese domestic market, among distinguished buyers, the Century name holds the same brass as Rolls Royce, Bentley, and Maybach.
It’s possible that the Century brand might go global — and be sold through Lexus dealerships if it does. A report from Forbes shares that the Century has been sold in China, will come to the United Arab Emirates soon, and ultimately may be destined for the western hemisphere as well...

They will sell so few, they should make it a small bespoke separate service. Have a local lexus dealer do service. My local dealer experience would not make me feel good about spending that much.

Very few Lexus salespeople in America are qualified to sell anything above $100k. If you ask them what is a multi-stage hybrid system or a Haku interior trim piece I'm 99% certain they have no idea.

I don't know where they got the $170k number but the official MSRP in China is ¥1,980,000 (USD 279k). Considering the import tariffs this is actually a fair price (70% higher than JDM). But the OTD price contains a ¥1.5M markup so it's a half million dollar car in China.
