He's not someone I would want to read regularly, the negativity is a little much. Still, choosing the Giulia is sketchy.
It helps when someone gives you a big endorsement, but then Europeans love cars in a certain way to a fault that most of us here aren't willing to tolerate; from what I see, everyone loves this car except for its past history. Is Alfa outselling Lexus in Europe?

I agree with Mary Barra as Auto Person of the year....though, even as a fan of their products, I think GM has made some dumb marketing moves recently. I agree with Gecko that the Accord should probably have gotten COTY. The SUV award should probably have been the upcoming Ford Ecosport...a much nicer design, IMO, than most of its weirdly-done competitors in that subcompact) SUV class. Truck of the Year, IMO, will depend on whether the upcoming mid-sized Ford Ranger is introduced in calendar year 2018 or 2019.....even if it does not sell in the F-150's numbers, it will probably be as much or more of a significant addition to the mid-size truck-market, which, in the U.S., is currently dominated by GM and Toyota.

Have you been inside the Ecosport? Quite frankly, I'm surprised it's even approved for sale in North America.

I've yet to see one on the street...not even sure they're for sale, or any with a bar code on the window :D

I'm not a bit surprised....not one bit. CUVs are where the market is right now.

I've seen the outside up close at last year's D.C. Auto Show.....and pictures of the inside from images. I have not (yet) sat in it.

Remember, though......this is not supposed to be a luxury vehicle, but an inexpensive (B-class) CUV to compete with the likes of the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, and Nissan Juke. You can't expect the interior to be like a Lincoln Continental or Genesis G90.

Definitely no luxury vehicle, but it just screams third world country from the outside...even the Nissan doesn't look as cheap. I remember the Ecosport was seen last year's auto show too but its been taking Ford forever to get it to market, and they've yet to have them on the dealer lots yet.
