Heavy Lexus RC F Is A Bit "Out Of Its Depth" On The Track - Car Scoops

Carbuyer’s Mat Watson took the Lexus RC F for a spin and while he described it as fun to drive on the road, he reckoned the Japanese coupe feels a little bit out of its depth on the circuit. The reason for this is the weight – the Lexus RC F tips the scales at 1,840kg (4,056lbs), which means it’s almost 300kg (661.4lbs) heavier than a BMW M4.

Hopefully Lexus learns from this mistake and a second generation RC, if we get one, will be much lighter.

RC-F got pretty nice 4 stars from EVO, which was surprising as EVO is usually hard on cars:

Nice.

The fact of the matter is, the RC F at the track seems to be as fast as a M4..with Carbon Ceramics....but all we hear about is "weight"....

And no IS F at this point is just perplexing considering we have a M3 and C63 sedan, ATS-V sedan etc.... Lexus putting this engine in the GS instead really is kind of mind-boggling.
