I guess the rumors of the Hilux moving to TNGA-F weren't true after all. Keeping it IMV based makes sense since Toyota has introduced two new IMV based products in the last year or two (Champ and LC FJ).
It's an ugly design, but I find the 12.3" screen and diff lock offered as standard equipment a bit interesting. I wonder if that's just for the Australian market or globally? That would mean it has better standard equipment than the Tacoma, and even the 1958 LC250 doesn't have the 12.3" screen.
