Watching the Mustang GTD breaking the 7 minute barrier (it was not an ideal lap, mind you) really makes you jealous as a Lexus owner. The original RC-F GT concept was exactly what the Mustang GTD is now trying to achieve. A zero-compromise GT3 racecar-derived model that focuses on maximum weight reduction, aerodynamics and cornering grip, plus an upsized engine (maybe not supercharged, but even the 5.4L could be a big improvement). With that full carbon body and reduced interior luxury it would completely get rid of the "heavyweight" criticism and weigh around 1500kg (similar to the A90 Supra). Instead we got a mildly spicier version of the RC-F that struggles to do 7:40.
Also the Carrera GT doing 7:12 on modern semi-slicks really makes you wonder what the LFA Nur is capable of on these new tires. The LFA base version was already faster than the Carrer GT. Given that LFA Nur kept up with the Viper ACR with street tires I have zero doubt it would do a sub-7 time.
