Maybe it’s a little late to suggest this, but perhaps we should do a poll on if the hybrid’s all wheel drive system is the direct4, a transplant of the plug-in RAV4 driveline or a rear electric motor added to the current drive line?
I’m happy to see that the exterior design changes are very subtle as I found it quite perfect already. I don’t know if this will apply to all markets, but in Europe the hybrid model will become available with all wheel drive. What kind of Awd system I do not know.
In Norway we only get the 300h and according to my local dealer it will get a facelift this year which will include four-wheel-drive becoming available. I neglected to ask what type of four-wheel-drive system, but perhaps I’ll remember to ask the next time I’m there.
With the promise of revolutionary solid-state batteries in 2025 combined with Yamaha’s new electric motor that actually produces an exciting sound, I finally find myself excited about battery electric vehicles.
I really like seeing the cut glass door panels with a lighter interior colour, especially a lighter colour headliner which gives a more open and airy atmosphere. I really do hope that this or something similar finds its way to Europe.
I’d love to see a five-door GS. Sports Sedan performance with a little extra practicality. I collect guitars, and a guitar in its case and shipping cardboard box you’ll have a very difficult time getting into the trunk of a conventional 4-door. I would definitely buy a 5-door GS.
I totally agree that another coupe would be surplus to requirements. Also, and I can’t stress this enough: I hope all this talk about platform and component sharing with other manufacturers is “fake news.” Lexus more than any other TMC products need to remain pure and undiluted.
The matte grey finish on the RC F Track Edition is truly beautiful. But I wonder, does it require more or different maintenance and cleaning than traditional glossy paint?

I saw the UX in the metal for the first time today, and it looks really good! Best of all was the sitting position. Very low slung and sporty just the way I like it.
I also hope it will have more than merly adequate power. After driving the CHR to which it is related, my conclusion was: sweet handling but could use more power. As Toyota and Lexus driving dynamics continuously improve they can use more power to go along with it.
