No. This is not a bug related to Lexus.
It's a similar case with Takata.
There are two separate recalls, each one related to human fatalities since 2015.
Both cases relate to the German supplier ZF.
Automakers have been hiding the problem under the carpet since 2015. :D
Anyway, all cars...
UX 250h price - 8000 € = Corolla Sports 2L hybrid 180 hp.
________________
To be expected
Toyota CHR 2L hybrid 180 hp price > Corolla Sports 2L hybrid 180hp price
I agree. It seems to be LF - SA.
But I would be glad if Lexus ditch the CT and brings the FT HT with the 2L hybrid 180 hp. It will...
I have written it before. Our culture is based on Narcissism. It's the journalists powerhouses that siege wars by brainwashing public. We have a long tradition on deception. Charlemagne Goebbels live through us. We are playing dirty games.
Cultures don't change and history is making circles.
In...
Tesla has nothing to do with battery production costs. Tesla is just another client of Panasonic. Panasonic is in the red, due to their joint venture with Tesla. It is a worrying situation, because despite the economic US war, it's happening at a time when market is considerably advantageous...
Absolutely correct.
The less power per litre of total chambers capacity, the less toxic and non toxic emissions.
In HSD the M2 electric motor nullifies the need for air charging. In that sense it's pretty easy increasing the efficiency of the engine. Not only that, but the ecvt keeps the engine...
Considering it took 20 years hybrid powertrains getting mature, five years for BEV baterries development seems like 100m sprint race with hurdles. Shouldn't we as fans, be a bit more patient to our favorite company? They have lost 20 years from their plans. It will be impossible lifting...
I wrote : Had Toyota stayed focused in their FC development plan, FC would be the absolute winner.
In this case Toyota would had addressed all the issues you described.
An FC that does not need hydrogen refueling infrastructure, has a huge driving range, it's the cheapest and safest choice.
But...
Toyota does not build trucks and vehicles where FCVs have an advantage. Also they are not suppliers. This is not how they make money. Toyota builds lightweight passenger cars.
Furthermore, they have to rely on government politics, resources, determination and efficiency to bring hydrogen...
The turbo reference is unfortunate. Turbo and HSD don't mix. Turbo defies the purpose of HSD.
Also it is a disgrace mentioning what other companies do as a benchmark for Toyota.
But, I apologize for the confusion and I will try to be more clear.
Firstly, it is a given that Toyota's aim have...
I have realized that fires, car accidents, airbugs, unintended accelerations, etc have different gravity, depending on the badge and the country of origin.
Ongoing dieselgate scandals have zero impact on German Industry.
Tesla accidents are a similar case.
Chinese battery companies are not any...
Toyota cannot afford to lose competitiveness. They begun wasting huge amounts of resources since 2000, when they scared of Jeremy Clarkson and the competition behind him, waging a war of destruction against the "boring Toyota" by ridiculing the prius 1 and the Lexus SC430 as a start. Toyota...
If Toyota didn't believe in hybrids future, they would had never begun making hybrids.
They are still making only 1.5 million hybrids annually.
They are going to need quite several orders of magnitude the Kwh battery production pace they are currently able to.
And you guys believe it is good...
Toyota has been giving lessons the whole industrial world, how great company it is. Such great that, it does not deserve us.
Toyota (fans?) instead of showing some respect to Toyota, they are expressing negativity in favor of press!
Press had been really hostile against the prius introduction...
Twenty (20) years ago, Toyota had said the truth that everybody knew. Diesel doesn't have any future. Hybrids instead are the only effective way to tackle pollution, till hydrogen matured. They brought prius which means the one who goes before the future (noun future is translated in Japanese as...
I think 100 km should be more than enough for city use. Toyota also have supplied some cities with i-road sometime in the past and it has been working pretty well, having much less range.
Wouldn't need also less time to charge a low energy capacity battery than one with a higher energy capacity?
At 0:12 seconds
By looking at the dashboard
Bottom-Left: the ev charge capacity is full green. 100%
Top-Right : Range distance ⛽<100 km
Therefore, according to dashboard, range is 62 US miles when battery fully charged.
What do you think?
Are German cars an option, yet? I thought, customers wouldn't like to give power to Charlemagnes after the uncovering.
Anyway, I have some news.
Watch the advertising of Toyota BEV in China. Pause at 0:12. It's range is competitive with Chevy Volt plug in hybrid, EV range.
Speaking of Europe, all diesel cars are clean.
Since 2015, EU reaction was
German Industry pay the fines to their state (which actually help, or own part of the dieselgate manufacturers, which means money returns to the same coffins!). It's a scheme worthy of their tradition and culture.
EU...
