A bit late with this marketing strategy, but better late than never.

They read the memo from their chinese colleagues who have been running the most successful marketing campaign for their hybrids. Took them too long to realize shouting "OMG LOOK AT OUR MPG!!!" doesn't work.

The commercial is missing the ES 300h and GS 450h. I was thinking that maybe this is for 2019 but there are no 2019 models, those are 2018 models and there is a 2018 ES 300h and 2018 GS 450h.

Lexus has a ton of other hybrids, not sure why Lexus doesn't capitalize on it such as the IS 300h and RC 300h. Bring the IS hybrid and RC hybrid to North America. We get the LC 500h but not the lesser expensive RC 300h? Lexus please bring the IS hybrid and RC hybrid to North America.

Commercial is focused on current sales, hence current models, which recently got its prices slashed.

As to the IS300h and RC300h, they are too slow for US market, what would be the point?

True, however as for current sales I would assume the highest selling Lexus hybrid in the U.S. would be the ES 300h, followed by the RX 450h, NX 300h, LC 500h, LS 500h and last but not least GS 450h.

As for the RC 300h not fast enough, there's the RC F which is plenty fast. If the RC 300h was as fast as the RC F then it would be competing with itself. The RC 300h should be marketed to greenies, techies, hypermilers, etc. Lexus should expand the RC line here in North America to include a convertible and four door coupe. The Audi A5 coupe and four door coupe is very well done.

RC 300 rwd
RC 300 awd
RC 300h
RC 350
RC F

Trexus my friend, we are talking about Corolla rivalling speed in IS/RC300h, for more money than 3s faster (0-60) 350 powertrain.
