After countless videos and photos from race tracks over the last year, CarScoops has captured the GR GT3 Concept on the road for the first time.
Here are a few shots of the car on the road, but be sure to head over to CarScoops to see all 23 photos in the gallery.
Rumors and speculation about a new Lexus supercar have been widespread over the last few years, so we can’t help but wonder, “Is this the new LFA… or not?”
With Lexus’ ambitions to be fully electric by 2030, does a fire-breathing, twin-turbo V8 supercar fit into the portfolio?
Would this car be one last hurrah for internal combustion, or might it not be a Lexus at all?
The GR GT3 Concept was branded as a GR vehicle – the first ever – at its introduction during the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon. Lexus, on the other hand, released their own Electrified Sport Concept in December 2021 at an announcement outlining the brand’s plans to go fully electric. Lexus was not bashful about the details: fully electric and packing solid state batteries, 0-60 in the low 2-second range, and 430 miles of range for the future supercar.
So is there a relationship between the GR GT3 Concept, the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept, and the LFA? If there was ever a love triangle to be apart of, it would be this one, but it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer for answers.
