2025 Lexus LX 700h Confirmed

After much speculation, it is unofficially official: A new hybrid LX model is coming soon in the form of the 2025 LX 700h.

A dealer order guide was shared on Reddit showing both the LX 600 and LX 700h models as inventory, meaning that a formal announcement on the new Lexus flagship SUV is imminent.

While the existence of the LX 700h has now been confirmed, what we don’t know is exactly what hybrid system will power the flagship SUV. The logical assumption would be the same i-FORCE Max powertrain as the Toyota Tundra and Sequoia, which delivers 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. However, for Lexus’ halo model and a later introduction, it’s possible that the new LX 700h could benefit from an updated powertrain with different output.

We will know more once Lexus shares the official 2025 LX press materials. This is a breaking news story and it will be updated.

It would be nice if they got the LX 700h to ~475/500hp and ~600lb-ft of torque.

What if they just used the tune from the Tundra TRD performance pack?

469 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque.

Knowing Lexus they'll probably do that, but then again they'll probably do something underwhelming ever since the LX600 came out. Someone needs to smack some sense into these people.

I was thinking something like that too - if LX 600 has the richer 409hp tune and the Sequoia's ICE uses the lower 389hp tune (or similar), then there is a possibility that the LX 700h will come out with a higher power rating comparatively...

The Tundra TRD Performance package already increases power to 469hp and because there is more overlap between the ICE and Motor's torque curve the peak torque will increase to 821N.m/605lb.ft

the flag bearer of this class is the g wagon with 577/627 hp/tq with 8 cylinders ice
evs are pushing 1000+ hp/tq.

Is asking for more of an aggressive tune or more battery assist too much? Quality and performance with equal attention would be something new and exciting for the brand.
