Lexus Europe Sales Jump 40 Percent in October

Lexus sales in Europe are growing — in October, the brand recorded a 40.1% increase over 2013, and are now up 24.7% on the year. Total sales from January to October are 24,679 units.

(It’s going to be very interesting to watch European sales when the NX becomes less supply constrained — have to think the compact crossover is going to be a huge hit.)

If Lexus expands the CT range when the new model update is due, it could really help sales take off in Europe. Imagine a CT based hatchback, saloon and SUV covering all major market segments (well ok, not estate/wagon but that's never going to happen). Toyota is already building a new C-segment SUV (C-HR) to compete with Nissan Qashqai/Rogue so its not a stretch to suggest a Lexus derivative. It would be a huge seller in Europe and SE Asia I think.

Exactly a broader compact class offering with more engine options would be the way to success for Lexus. Not only in Europe all over the world. The C-HR will compete with Opel Mokka, Fiat 500X etc. though it's a size smaller than Qashqai.

Again, i really hope Lexus can keep up with the demand all over the world with having "just" one production site for all markets... i already can hear Lexus USA saying "we could sell more if we had them"!! :-)
