More Information on the Lexus RC F Carbon Fiber Package

Outside of North America, the Lexus RC F carbon fiber package will also include the lightweight hood — here are some photos showing off the package with an Ultrawhite RC F:

By utilizing the knowledge gained in creating the LFA, Lexus is able to augment their high-performance models with straight-from-the-factory carbon fiber — this is a huge deal, and one that will continue to offset the development costs of the LFA.

(Why is North America not be getting the carbon fiber hood? I have to think it’s a matter of cost — by reducing the price of the carbon fiber package, Lexus USA will an opportunity to sell more volume with the CF option.)

It looks awful. Eespecially the black Hood. Lexus going the ricer direction is not good.

ricer direction. Do you even know what that means. All Lexus did was apply a carbon fibre hood, spoiler and roof to it and you call it rice. To me, it looks great

Too me it looks like you and Your fourteen year old pimply boy-friends had Your way With it. The carbonfibre should be painted, that's it.

This car feels like they took the engineers who developed the LFA and took out all the designers from the project, it looks so raw in terms of design. Those lines, it already looks outdated. They are paying Calty design to create artwork and basically removing all the L finesse and launching the products. With the competitive market new M4 (0-60 under 4 seconds) new C63, new audi RS5... lexus is doing completely the opposite, larger engines, heavier trims. Whats up Lexus, wasnt this supposed to look like a small affordable LFA? i just hope the engine sounds better than a Jaguar F Type V8S (which seems pretty hard). Hopefully the price is around the 80's cause their is no way its competing with the big leagues.

It would be nice if they offered a painted option for the carbon pkg. So it suits whoever wants. I don't get what people would still call this ricer look?? I mean E46 CSL has exposed carbon everywhere. Did you see anyone calling them "Sausaged out"? LOL..... Then Pagani FULL carbon body option must be "Pizza out"? Okok...jokes asides... But I honestly think that just like any high end exotics manufacturer they should give customer a choice even with painted carbon hood option. But leave the bottom of the hood/Bonnet carbon weave exposed. So that way it's still very sexy but a much more subtle way. Or charge more for the full naked carbon like what the picture we all see here. Heck they charge extra $30K for exposed carbon roof for LFA....Why not this LOL

Glad US isn't getting carbon fibre hood; it looks super trashy on that car. Everything else, however, looks perfect!

I can deal with the cf roof and spoiler but the hood is a bit much to take.
