In a preview for the upcoming Japan Mobility Show later this month, Lexus teased a new “LS Concept,” though it’s not what you’re likely expecting. Just after the iconic LS sedan received its death certificate last month, news of an LS concept vehicle was exciting for many, but even more puzzling when seen.
Lexus’ promotional video revealed a six wheel, large multi-purpose vehicle that seems to redefine LS from “luxury sedan” to “luxury space.” Space indeed with a vehicle this size and needing six wheels.
Oversized luxury vans with three rows and plentiful space have become popular in China and other parts of Asia, so it’s worth wondering if Lexus is planning to fully reinvent the LS name into something different, or if this vehicle is just a conceptual preview of what LS-levels of luxury might be like in the future.
Lexus LM, anyone?
Additional details will have to wait until the 2025 Japan Mobility Show which kicks off on October 30.
