After much speculation, it is unofficially official: A new hybrid LX model is coming soon in the form of the 2025 LX 700h.
A dealer order guide was shared on Reddit showing both the LX 600 and LX 700h models as inventory, meaning that a formal announcement on the new Lexus flagship SUV is imminent.
While the existence of the LX 700h has now been confirmed, what we don’t know is exactly what hybrid system will power the flagship SUV. The logical assumption would be the same i-FORCE Max powertrain as the Toyota Tundra and Sequoia, which delivers 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. However, for Lexus’ halo model and a later introduction, it’s possible that the new LX 700h could benefit from an updated powertrain with different output.
We will know more once Lexus shares the official 2025 LX press materials. This is a breaking news story and it will be updated.
