Another shadowy photo of the 2023 Lexus RX showed up on Instagram this morning showing the rear end of the all-new model. Lexus’ new signature, full-length horizontal rear light bar marks a change for the crossover while the blacked out D pillar from the current generation carries over into the new design language.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the new photo is that while it takes a significant amount of editing and zooming, an “RX 500h” badge is visible on the back of the vehicle. There is also a small badge below the “RX 500h” and our assumption is that it probably says something like “F SPORT Performance” or DIRECT4 indicating an all-new performance oriented future for Lexus’ most popular vehicle. Rumors indicate the “500h” powertrain will combine a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a hybrid system hopefully generating power in the mid- to high- 300 horsepower range.
The new fifth generation RX will be fully revealed on May 31, so stay tuned for details.
