Orders for New Lexus RX in Japan Exceed Yearly Sales Goal

Lexus Japan have received 9,000 pre-orders for the new RX, exceeding the monthly sales goal of 500 units by 1,800%. Broken down, there were 3,000 orders for the new RX 200t and 6,000 for the RX 450h.

Selling a full year of RX inventory in less than one month is quite an accomplishment, but it also puts the success of the NX into perspective — in Japan, the new compact crossover had 9,500 pre-orders and a monthly sales goal of 750 units.

The fact that the NX, LX, and RX is getting so many orders is proving that Lexus is getting bigger and bigger! Too bad the ordering people have to wait for so long since Lexus doesn't like make making more cars right away.
