The Lexus Europe collaboration with musician Will.I.Am hits a high note with this elaborate real-life videogame event in Madrid:
It took a team of 65 technicians over seven days to construct the rigging necessary for the laser show, and a single night to film the final result. The best description of the event comes from lighting creative director Barnaby Steel:
“Together with Lexus, we’ve created a huge musical game with three stunt drivers as the players and will.i.am as the conductor. Music is brought to life when the cars hit beams of light that are motion sensitive at the correct time and rhythm. It’s basically like a giant laser harp with cars instead of fingers.”
