Lexus NX F SPORT Wins Motor Trend Luxury Compact Crossover Comparison

The Lexus NX 200t F SPORT has taken first place in a Motor Trend compact crossover comparison against the BMW X3 xDrive28i, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD, and Volvo XC60 T6:

[The NX] comes well-dressed at the lowest as-tested price, with good cost of ownership and high marks for driving experience, cabin and leather quality, ride and handling balance, efficiency, and safety. And as [MT editor Edward] Loh asserted, its “engine sounds great under wide-open throttle, especially in Sport mode.”

Lexus isn’t for everyone. But if you’re hunting for a compact luxury CUV with the most diverse skill set, look no further than the NX 200t.

This is a strong win against difficult competitors, and the full article does a good job at justifying the results. An excellent win for the new Lexus compact crossover.

Very good win indeed! Too bad the test didn't include the other best CUV in this class, the Audi Q5. Would have been nice to see how they stack up.

Class leading fuel economy.... With a 6 speed! I'd love to see this bad boy in the IS already with the 8 speed. 34 mpg hwy perhaps?

GLA is clearly a class down from these vehicles. It's a tall hatchback, not a crossover. The RDX is getting a heavy refresh this spring, so Acura didn't send one. Audi doesn't carry the standard 2.0T engine in it's press fleet because it' so bad, so they were too embarrassed to compete. BD

The Q5 starts at $40k and is really supposed to compete with the Lexus RX. BD

Q5 competes directly with the X3 which competes with the new Lex. The RX is considered an X5 competitor.
