Lexus NX Customization Options Available in Japan

As a followup to yesterday’s post, it turns out Lexus Japan offers color-coded wheel arches for the NX:

It’s a ¥151,200 ($1,275 USD) option, and just one of the many customizations Lexus Japan offers. There’s also a door garnish, door handle garnish, plated side door molding, and a chrome trunk lip:

I was also pointed toward these photos of a Fire Agate Lexus NX with color-coded wheel arches and an optional F SPORT wheel design:

(Exciting to see this level of first-party customization available, and I wonder what type of interest level there would be among North American customers for some of these options.)

This should optional in all Markets not just Japan

Lexus can keep that in Japan. Not! They add the edge that Lexus designers seem to want on the original car. It is straight from the factory, and I am glad that there is still a love for chrome. Everyone seems to want to black out everything nowadays.

I'd love to see the paint-matched wheel arches available as a dealer-installed accessory. I hear lots of comments (both positive and negative) about the dark grey plastic wheel arches currently in use in the USA.

I'd love to see them come out with an NX-F with about 350hp in a couple of year. I think it can pull off as its got the look and size for it.
