Auto Express Drives the Next-Generation Lexus IS 300h

Auto Express has driven the next-generation Lexus IS 300h, and called the new hybrid powertrain “quiet and smooth”, with “impeccable refinement”.

(The reviewer also mentions the Active Sound Control system, which “sounds as though you’re being followed by a motorbike.”)

What's odd is that AutoExpress has the 0-60 as 8.5 seconds yet Autocar quoted 6.9!

Auto Express "estimated" the time from the looks of it.

Yeah I gues the new IS300h is no faster than the IS250 Though its more expensive, has lower top speed and is heavier.

Lexus already sells the ES300h if you want a very fuel efficient Lexus sedan with respectable performance.. The IS range is more of a raw performance sedan, the Hybrid powertrain is tuned for economy rather than pure performance. Everyone should get the IS350 over the IS250. The small extra amounts of money is well worth it!!!
