New Best Car Rendering of the Rumored Lexus LFA II

Japanese magazine Best Car has published a new rendering of the rumored Lexus LFA II (click for a larger version):

Getting beyond whether Lexus is actually considering a next-generation LFA, this rendering makes for a curious study — the front-end is treading into generic supercar territory with similar lines to the Nissan GTR, but at the same time, it’s a decent reinterpretation that doesn’t make me wince the way these photochops usually do.

What do you think?

(Thanks Cliff!)

To be honest, I was only paying attention to the front end. The rest of the car would definitely need some serious changes.

Yeah, now that you mention it, it does look like a Ford -- I saw GTR merged with spindle grille.

I agree that the front end is starting to look like a generic supercar. All in all, I don't really like this new rendering.

I'm thinking Lexus is going to announce the LFA II alongside with the next gen Supra from Toyota. LFA n Supra = end of the world

So the LFA II is really a mid-gen facelift that would add the spindle grille, drop weight, add power, add features, etc. Sounds like a plan...... BD

No way will it be a twin turbo. The engine is perfect as it is.

More power is always nice and the engine can put out 125 HP/Liter easily being a Yamaha co-developed engine.

Lexus needs 700hp + to battle the next gen ferrari enzo that thing is topping over 900hp. Wonder why Lexus doesn't implement more F1 tech in there cars, since they have available tech having raced in F1

Well, it's going to be GREAT to have Second-Generation Lexus LFA... However we NEED more Power. Also, If they really want this car with HIGH price ... Than They NEED to build it LIKE really powerful car... It shouldn't be perfect ... but at least it can BEAT GT-R, Mercedes, Ferrari 458, PORSCHE 991, and so on....  One last thing.... Can they BUILD an LFA with BACK engine.

LFA is a real supercar. What the hell are you smoking?? Beating a Porsche 991?? LFA holds the record of the 4th quickest lap time around Nurburgring of 7:14 in history. On several tracks, LFA is quicker than 458 Italia, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Porsche 911 GT3 RS etc.

Yeah, you might want to dial it back a bit -- Hamed's comment is difficult to interpret, but I don't see anything to take offense over. :-)

YES I know it's a REAL supercar and an Amazing Supercar but, in the UAE it doesn't seem LIKE one. To ME!!! that car is the BEST car I've SEEN... And I know it get the QUICKEST lap time around Nurburgring. Also, I'm the biggest FAN of Lexus.

LFA is a quiet car??? You know nothing about the LFA absolutely. It has a naturally aspirated F1 racing derived V10 that revs up to 9500 rpm and screams louder than any Ferrari or Lamborghinl.

Actually 05RollaXRS I have seen the LFA in person and the car is generally quiet compared to its competitors until it wails at 7k to 9k RPM's.  Lambo’s are deep and harsh and loud even at low RPM's and so are some Ferraris which to me sound raspier; the LFA is refined and quiet until you really push it.

I don't like how they made it look like a Taurus and a GTR put together. But the idea of an even beastlier LFA would be pretty freaking awesome!!!!
