Lexus IS F in Scion Cement Gray

At the request of Lexus USA, VIP Auto Salon took a brand new 2011 IS F and repainted it in Scion Cement Gray (1H5) — here are the results:

I’m on the fence about the color — it’s definitely unique for an IS F, but it reminds me immediately of a Scion tC. Still, I’m sure it looks great in person.

Very tame color for the F. It looks very clean though but maybe it needs some darker rims to offset the plain-jane look. Any way it still looks very very sexy.

Maybe they should splash on some LFA colors on it, there's lots to choose from.  One question, why couldn't Lexus paint it themselves?

Cus Scion and lexus is companys made and owned by toyota, and it just says they used a Scion colour not a Scion painter :D

What? I know the Toyota family tree. And to my other question, I was just wondering why Lexus couldn't paint it in house.

Love it. I LOVE that color on the Scion - it's got some metallic or pearl in it but still appears very gray. I'd really like to see the IS F in that color AND with the Scion's black roof. I wonder were this car is headed. Would be very rare and valuable one day...

My friend started the yellow tC trend. There should be a proper yellow for Lexus again!

I love it! The one nitpicky complaint I have with Lexus is that they tend to be a bit conservative when it comes to exterior colours.

If they were going for a Toyota family color inspired by construction materials, I think it would've made far more sense to have used the 2004 Lexus IS 300 SportDesign's Alabaster Metallic (3Q4) rather than this meh Scion Cement Gray.

To me it doesnt do the car any favours - looks really bland ISF or not.  However from the drivers seat I wouldnt notice!
