New Gazoo Racing Concept Powered by Lexus Hybrid Drive

Although it’s not really a Lexus, this sports car concept by Toyota’s Gazoo Racing does share the same hybrid powertrain as the RX 450h.

Dubbed the GRMN Sports Hybrid Concept II, this MR2 inspired roadster gets its name from Toyota’s late test driver Hiromu Naruse (who was known as the Meister of the Nürburgring) and will be shown as this weekend’s Nürburgring 24h race.

I love this car , it's something that I wanted to appear in my garage ! It's indeed not a Lexus but for me ... Lexus is also Toyota , so I love it !

If Toyota ever puts it into production, they could as well also make a Lexus version to take on the SLK, Z4, TT, and Boxsters of the world. A sporty little roadster really would boost Lexus' brand image.

It's maybe the Lexus SC hybrid test car !

    It would make a lot more sense with a hybrid drive line in an SC,as it´s not a sportscar,but rather a luxury car with a sporting flavour,but somehow I doubt the SC would be based on the discontinued MR2 Roadster/Spyder,but rather make use of a front-engined Lexus platform.
