This past weekend, I made the trip to Toronto and picked up a 2011 Lexus LS 600hL from Lexus Canada for a two week road test.
The LSh has a Obsidian exterior & Parchment interior, and is fully loaded with every conceivable feature, right down to the massaging rear ottoman and a whole host of driver-assist technologies (Lane Keep Assist, Driver Monitoring, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Hold button). In some ways, it’s more robot than car.
If there’s one vehicle in the Lexus lineup that gets me tongue-tied, it’s the LS. The feeling I get behind the wheel is difficult to put into words, but it’s the reason I bought a Lexus in the first place. Getting a chance to drive this (much too big) LS 600hL is a dream come true.
Now, I’m going to try something new with my coverage of the LSh — rather than write daily or weekly posts, I’ve created a page that I will be updating instead. There’s a link to the page in the sidebar (using the same picture as above), and here’s a direct link — should be an interesting couple of weeks!
