Lexus LFA & Six Nissan GT-Rs

The Lexus LFA has been seen in all sorts of company these last couple weeks — first it was a Supercar Party with all its major competitors, and now it’s out and about with six (!!!) Nissan GT-Rs:

My first thought was that some auto mag was trying to be clever — “Which would you rather have, six GT-Rs or one LFA?!?” — but it turns out you can only buy 4.5 GT-Rs for the price of an LFA.

(Thanks Roberto!)

Update: The story behind the video is that the LFA & GT-Rs were all attending the Cars & Coffee event in Irvine, California — here they are having a revv battle:

(Thanks Jhonatan!)

Although I can get 4.5 Nissan GT-R with a price tag of one Lexus LFA , but Lexus LFA only 500 ever build compare with GT-R which would always in production . But honestly , both of them isn't the car that can drive you to shopping or working , there's so stiff & too noisy !

This might have been just a GTR track day with a Lexus LFA from the head office joinning to have some fun cause I thought I saw a Techart bodykit Cayman? as well as a IS-F?

According to this thread at Nagtroc.org it was a GT-R meet. That thread author said the LFA author didn't want to run because it's only a prototype so they all just rode around a bit. That thread has some good pics so check it out. Lots of members of that forum use the GTR as a daily driver too.;-) As for the would you want 4.5 GTRs question or an LFA question, I'd take the 4.5 GTR's, sell 3.5 of them and modify 1the last so I'm the owner of the best performing GTR on the planet. That would be even more unique than having a 1 of 500 LFA. Don't get me wrong, the LFA is a magnificent beast, it's definitely the better automobile but a GTR with all of the mods and tuning you could ever dream of would be sick.

I would consider the GTR a roller coaster ride - controlled thrill; the LFA is absolute thrill!!!

I thought I saw a Porsche GTS3 along with the LF-A in the video. I'll take the LF-A. If I have that amount of money to buy an LF-A, I might as well buy myself one GTR instead of 4.5 GTR.

@Pete That's the same white LF-A debut at the 2010 Socal Lexus Meet last week: @WorldOfLuxury Next time, I'll keep you posted.

I'd rather have the LFA than 10 GTR's. Honestly why would you even want more than one (or even one) of those metal spine hurters?

Actually, since there are only LF-A's in the US, every one you see in mags are most likely the same car..this white one i took a picture of while at school in irvine used to be flat black(sema) but was repainted white

@LFAaddict: Well for quite a bit less than half the cost of the LFA you can buy a GT-R and modify it into a 951 awhp, 804awtq atomic breathing Godzilla. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ffsi02QkCy0 As far as being a spine hurter, from the pics of wrecked GTR's I've seen, the cabin was very much intact in each case so they seem quite safe in that regard. The only GTR fatality I've read about was one that smashed into a concrete pole and 3 coconut trees and the man who expired was in the backseat not wearing a seatbelt.

@Lexusluver: For the same price of a modified GTR, I can buy a Supra Turbo and put a huge honking turbo on it and put lots of race suspension on it and be faster in just about every single way. The argument can go on forever. The fact that everything was purpose built for the LFA and the thrills of driving this car make this so enticing for rich people who bought all of them out.
