In a follow-up to yesterday’s post, Lexus confirmed to the Automotive News that the HS 250h will not be sold in Europe. No reason was given, but an insider told me that the CO2 emissions weren’t low enough to justify the expense of introducing the model.
However, on the plus side, I was also told that there should be an announcement in the next week or so regarding an update to the Lexus IS diesel that will lower that model’s CO2 emissions. Whether that means modifications or something else entirely wasn’t clear, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be wondering for all that long.
