RX350 MPG

Hi,

I have a 2017 RX350 F-Sport AWD. My gas mileage for the city has always been around 12.5-13.5 mpg which is pretty bad compared to the expected mpg. Highway mpg is fine though, usually around 24-27mpg. I normally just stick to normal mode and not use sports mode mainly because the mpg will probably be even worse. The range I get is usually only 305 miles when the tank is full. I was wondering is it just my car that has terrible mpg in the city or do other people have this problem as well?

If you want to improve your city mpg, keep it in eco mode and use the eco indicator as a tool to become a more economical driver. As you accelerate you will see the indicator fill up with the color blue. You want to accelerate as gently as possible and keep the blue in the "ECO" bracket. Also, keep in mind that your tank actually holds more fuel than indicated by the range. Even when you hit a range of "0" there are a couple gallons of fuel on reserve in case of an emergency.
