So while the LC is not perfect, the car industry is a better place for its existence. If you’ve not already guessed, we rather like the Lexus LC, and aside from one or two caveats, think it is a truly spectacular road car.

But drop the top, step back, and marvel. This is the rare coupe that’s improved by losing its roof, looking more like the car Lexus intended. In a class of large, subdued, turbocharged German V-8 supercoupes, the LC 500 stands out. Once you figure out how to put that top down.

Turbos, hybrids and full-electrification are the go-to power methods in 2021 and will be, increasingly so, in the future. You can’t fault manufacturers for leaning on those methods. They all reliably produce power but not at the cost of efficiency and lower emissions. So when Lexus released the ultra-modern-looking LC 500 and fitted it with a classic-style V8, there’s a sense this is the last time we’ll see a car of this caliber. It’s as if the only reason Lexus gave the LC 500 a 5.0-liter V8 is that this was the last chance it could. What you’re looking at is an instant classic, bound to be a headlining at car auctions in the not-too-distant future.

Lexus is on a roll lately!

All these newer variants (RC F, LCC, LS, IS) are getting only positive reviews everywhere!
Hope this continues not only with the 2NX introduction but also UX/ES facelifts as they're truly important for the brand.
