Consumer Reports from 2011 to 2015 provided a service called "Cars Best Deals Plus".

It contained such info as zip-code specific prices, dealer advertising costs, and incentives; side-by-side comparison of standard optional equipment to help determine the right trim; geographical presentation of summary pricing for the configured vehicle; maximum purchase price for the vehicle that could be considered a good deal based on analysis of recent local transaction prices; and dealer willingness to negotiate rating of high, medium, or low, indicating how flexible dealers had been recently in negotiating price. Also gave info on dealer cost on option equipment.

Has anyone used a similar service?
