And for a supposedly China-centric product, they debuted the ES without BEV options and only the anemic 300h is available in China. And for the US market they debuted with only BEV options with the hybrid available later. The people who make these decisions obviously have some sort of intelligence deficiency.

They're basically just testing how much crap their fanbase is willing to tolerate. Announce a BEV future, walk it back right after, axe all the halo cars, and replace them with a lineup of Toyota+ appliances.

The sad part is that plenty of people still blindly defend every decision they make. If the customer base had a little more backbone, they wouldn't have enabled these clowns to take over the company.

These are likely upcoming concept cars. I do have a theory though. I think Lexus is gonna completely overhaul the nomenclature of it's upcoming cars. I think they will become more unified based on the class of vehicle, similar to Mercedes. I would like to see this.

The revised nomenclature will likely only apply to the Chinese market. Having dedicated EV sub-branding worked much better than in the rest of the world. While Toyota abandoned BZ as a branding in most markets, BZ has become well-received in China after the success of BZ3 and BZ3X.

yeah you might be right. my theory still applies regarding the LS concepts though

I would tend to agree with it. Looks like Lexus is beginning to look like a brand without a purpose and having an identity crisis.

I like how nobody even takes their announced plans for the LS, etc seriously. Not even themselves.

Next year they'll announce the next LS is actually going to be the passenger lounge. The "Luxury Salon".
You can ride in your self-driving one-man luxury portapotty there (the DS or "Defecation Saloon", or you can get the "F(eces) SPORT PERFORMANCE" model if you need the extra oomph, handling and more engaging dynamics), where you will fly to stay at the new "RX", the "Resort eXperience".

They'll revive the GS nameplate for "Guest Services", "IS" for "In-Room Service".
The point of sale terminals will be branded the "TX". The "NX" division will handle nuptial / wedding planning.
"GX" and "LX" will be the signs for the "Gents eXcretion's" and "Ladies eXcretion's" rooms respectively.
The "ES" will be the "Express Shuttle" to and from the resort.
"HS" will be re-established as a specialist team (the "Handicapable Specialists") to cater to the differently-abled.

EDIT: Lexus please don't do the above.
