I hate to break it to you but Lexus will be further gone by then.. or at the very least primarily an EV brandI am 18 right now, and I hope by the time I'm 28, Lexus won't be as far gone as I think they will be.
delusional request. I wish they were like VW group (look at Huracan and R8)Why would Lexus get a GT3 when it's all going to be under GR now
I think EVs have a place in Lexus's lineup, but its not the only place. For a company that has championed a multi-fuel-path future its awfully biased towards EVs. Get rid of pure combustion for self-charging hybrids, I don't care. Just don't go full EV.I hate to break it to you but Lexus will be further gone by then.. or at the very least primarily an EV brand
Good to see young people still into this brand. Honestly, it’s not that common anymore.Hopefully here Akio has something to say about it, since I don't think any racing programs will be cut altogether. I'd just be more worried about rebrands (Lexus Racing to GR). I am 18 right now, and I hope by the time I'm 28, Lexus won't be as far gone as I think they will be. The dream would be talking to Simon Humphreys and Akio Toyoda, and just sharing the ideas I have for Lexus. These idea's dont take away from GR and Century, but they add to Lexus greatly without being delusionally costly.

Lexus really needs to see this. There are still people who genuinely care, not just willing to buy, but who actually love what it stands for… or at least what it used to stand for. Make something we actually want to buy. Enough with all this half baked stuff🤬. We don’t need another 200hp fwd car, and we definitely don’t need some ugly EV sedan that pretending to be a flagship.
Bring the LS back, bring the RC back, bring the GS back, bring the LC back and bring the goddamn F brand back!!!!!
.
Yes. I have ideas for Lexus they really need to see. I have some car guy friends who are also into the brand. My issue isn't that they make non-enthusiast cars. It is that they are ONLY making non-enthusiast cars and they are even starting to butcher those. The rumored i6 unlocks heaps of potential for what Lexus can do with the brand, the types of cars it can go in, and the potential racing avenues it can unlock.Good to see young people still into this brand. Honestly, it’s not that common anymore.

The UX and the ES is a complete joke. The NX needs a lot of improvement. The RX is pretty solid though (it could use V6/i6 options and they should kill off the embarrassment that is the 500h. I think overall material quality in some places could use improvement but overall it is a pretty decent product. The issue isn't that they make these "boring" cars. I mean, look at BMW with the X3, or Mercedes with the GLC. The problem is that those brands use that revenue to build passion in other products, like their sportscars. Lexus isn't.Because most people voted with their wallets. RX, NX, UX, ES, those are the ones selling.
People like cheap parts, underpowered whiny a** 4-cyl engine.
People like driving boats.
People like dressed-up Toyotas.
That’s the message they’re sending to TMC, and clearly it’s working. They’re doing better than ever.
So yeah, blame the people buying those cars. They’re the reason we’re getting treated like sh!t.
The difference is that Ferdinand Piech was actually an engineer for most of his career while Akio is an MBA nepobaby wannabe influencer.delusional request. I wish they were like VW group (look at Huracan and R8)

Here is what I think Lexus should do with their flagship line
wdyt of these ideasThe UX and the ES is a complete joke. The NX needs a lot of improvement. I should add, I hold a different viewpoint to most regarding Century and GR. I do like the idea of both of them existing as independent brands (though I think they should replace/rebadge the GR products in the Toyota lineup to TR products (for the new Toyota Racing sub-brand that exists in WEC and Nascar). I do think that with GR in particular, Lexus F, just like Audi and Porsche with Lamborghini, still has an important place in the market, and they could do incredibly well by taking more from GRGT etc.
If I were Toyota, here is what the lineup would be:
Toyota:
- TR86 (Entry Level)
- Supra TR (Toyota Racing Flagship, ~400-500hp, i4/i6, equivalent of a crown-level interior so keep it reasonably high-end)
- Corolla TR (Rally-car meant for Rally2, 330hp)
- Yaris TR (Entry Level)
GR:
- GR Celica (Entry Level GR, Rally1-spec car, around 50-55k starting price, more upscale interior)
- GR MR2 (lightweight, lotus emira rival), 2L 4cyl, maybe launch an i6 at some point?
- GR GT (more powerful and hardcore versions to follow)
- GR SUV (i6 and electric options, similar in size to Alpine A390 or Porsche Macan)
Lexus F:
- LFC (RC/LC joint successor), very similar to Supra, 6cyl power, 2+2 seating to rival M4/CLE. Could consider having a V8 model with a detuned GRGT engine?
- LFR (Based on GRGT), Less version of GRGT, maybe with a less powerful V8 and then a more powerful solid state hybrid system
- LFA (As Planned), electric hypercar/higher-end supercar, series production but very small numbers every year, extremely light w/ solid state
- LFX (Audi SQ8/RSQ8 Rival), Super SUV, PHEV i6 base, GRGT Powertrain with more potent hybrid system.
For F, I only put out the ones that I want to have as ground-up F models. I will probably put out another list later with things like an ISF, where they are F models based on non-F cars.
This should allow each brand to grow passionately and branch out while keeping development costs for additional cars relatively low. I have a full PDF of what I envision Lexus's flagship line to be which I will attach below.
I think it's best to appreciate what we have gotten rather than wish for things that we know aren't going to happen.wdyt of these ideas
I'm 18 so im not in a place to buy any of this, and realistically, these probably won't be around when I am in a place to afford it. I enjoy dreaming even though I acknowledge that a lot of it likely may not happen. Its sucks to be a young car guy in 2026.I think it's best to appreciate what we have gotten rather than wish for things that we know aren't going to happen.
Buy an LC500. Buy a GS-F. Buy a V8 LX or GX. Lexus could disappear tomorrow as a brand but these cars will remain sought-after classics for decades to come. No brand lasts forever, but the legacy of the cars they built do. We had it pretty good all things considered.
Plenty of people still drive LS430's today and those are reaching almost 30 years old at this point. Trust me, those vehicles I mentioned will still be around 30 years from now, even if the brand isn't. The only question is whether you will even be interested at that point.I'm 18 so im not in a place to buy any of this, and realistically, these probably won't be around when I am in a place to afford it.
Haha, finally waking up?This just happened...
Changed the name to GazooRacing from LexusRacing.
Lost my follow and my support. I am so done with Lexus after 29 loyal years. My GX, my fifth Lexus, will be my last. Can't support this BS anymore.
Same here. I’ve been supporting the brand for years, but I’m done. No more Lexus for me.View attachment 10984
